My Library and the Books I Love
These are the cookbooks I keep on my shelf at home and use when I need a great recipe. Rebecca Katz was recommended by many of my graduate school cooking lab teachers and I was trained to create nourishing recipes by Myra Kornfeld and Monica Corrado, themselves. While Sally Fallon doesn't teach cooking labs, she does give tours of her farm and she created delicious, nutrient-rich food for us while we were there! Check out her Nourishing Traditions cookbook.
The credit for my love of nutrition, however, belongs to Tosca Reno whose clear and simple teachings make it easy to eat clean. This truly compassionate woman even wrote to me while I was in the Peace Corps to help me find ways to eat well in my remote village in Southern Africa. Check out her amazing EAT CLEAN series for a quick handle on the principles of living a clean life. Finally, I included some amazing authors that write about food as it relates to taste, community, nutrition, history, and health as well as quick tips that can make your life easier while you are trying to eat well. Enjoy!
